Who is this course for?

This course is designed for young children in rural Kenyan communities who have completed the Emergent level and are ready to explore longer, more complex stories. It is ideal for learners who can already decode familiar words and are building towards reading fluency.

What you will learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to read and understand short stories with varied vocabulary, follow narrative structure and character dialogue, and draw meaning from context using both text and illustrations.
