Who is this course for?

This course is designed for young children in rural Kenyan communities who have completed the Emergent Maa course. You can already read simple sentences and express basic ideas — now it's time to read longer texts and communicate with greater independence!

What you will learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to read and understand short paragraphs, express thoughts and ideas in connected sentences, and engage with a broader range of vocabulary and everyday topics in Maa.
